What's new in AteMate 3.1

AteMate 3.1 for Android brings CGM support and full control over AI.

Written by Tom

Following our big 3.0 release, this update brings some of your most requested features. The biggest is CGM support. It's not for everyone, but if you use a continuous glucose monitor, we think you'll like it.

CGM Support
If you use a continuous glucose monitor, your glucose readings can now sync into your journal through Google Health. See them next to your food, mood, hydration, movement, and sleep, and start noticing how your day connects. It's optional and only appears if you choose to connect it.

A few important things to know:

  • AteMate is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It shows readings from your CGM alongside your journal and does not interpret them medically.

  • Depending on your device, readings may appear in AteMate later than in your CGM's own app. For current readings, alerts, and any treatment decisions, always use the app that came with your CGM.

  • For questions about your glucose, talk with your healthcare provider.

You Choose How Much AI
A new Smart Features section in Settings lets you turn off all AI in AteMate, including AI Food Analysis and your AI Coach. Your journal keeps working without them, and you can turn Smart Features back on anytime.

Better Meal Photos
When you import a photo, drag and pinch to frame just your meal. Only the part you choose is uploaded. In the camera, new composition guides next to the flash help you line up the shot.

What Else Changed

  • Faster across the app: AteMate opens, loads, and responds more quickly.

  • Reorganized Settings: Everything is grouped more clearly, so you can find what you need in fewer taps.

  • Bug fixes and polish throughout.

Your Privacy Has Not Changed

  • No ads, and we never sell your personal information.

  • Your journal is never used to train AI models.

  • You control the AI features. Turn off AI Food Analysis and your AI Coach anytime under Smart Features.
