What's on my timeline and how to build it

View all meals, in addition to activity, feelings, notes, and liquids that have been added

Tap "Journal" to see all your meals, along with movement, reflections, notes, beverages, sleep, and measurements you've added.

Your food photos build your timeline. Your first food picture starts it, and every meal after that is added along the way, including meal times, the time between meals, and each meal's On-Path or Off-Path value. If you prefer, you can turn the On-Path/Off-Path value off from the meal settings described here.

To view your timeline, tap "Journal" in the bottom navigation bar, then swipe down to see all your meals and everything else you've added.

By default, meals are not combined. In settings, you can turn on meal combination and set it to 30 minutes (or any interval you prefer). When meals are grouped within that window, they read as a single meal on your timeline.

Building your Timeline

Take a picture of every meal or snack you have. This builds your path, with each meal's On-Path or Off-Path value visible.

From there, scroll back to see how your patterns have been unfolding. Seeing meals across different days on one timeline can help you notice how choices connect. For example, a light lunch might have felt right at the time, but if you noticed you were very hungry a couple of hours later, that can be useful to reflect on for next time.

Reflecting on your choices, both the types of meals and their timing, can help you learn what works for you over time.
