AteMate 5.3 for iOS introduces Coach Finder (Beta), a new way to edit your meal totals, and layouts made for iPhone Duo and iPad.

Work with a human coach (Beta)

Want support from a real person? Coach Finder lets you explore our independent Coaching Partners. These are human health coaches who already use AteMate.

  1. Open Profile and tap on Coach Finder, or tap the menu in the Coach tab, and choose Work with a personal coach.

  2. Browse the partners. Each one has a page with their team and approach.

  3. Tap the booking button to open the partner's scheduling page and book a consultation.

Once you connect with a coach in AteMate, they can see your journal and support you between sessions, so you never start from scratch.

Sarah Wragge Wellness is our first partner, and more coaches are coming soon.

Coach Finder only appears if you are not already connected to a coach, team, or organization. Also, once you are connected wiht a human Coach, AI Coach will no longer be available to you.

Coaches featured here are independent and are not employed by AteMate. We do a basic review before listing a coach, but we don't verify credentials, run background checks, or supervise their services. AteMate is not responsible for their advice, services, or any outcomes from working with them. AteMate may receive a share of fees when you book with a coach.

Edit your meal totals

In 5.2 you could edit ingredients and portions. Now you can also type the total calories and macros for a meal directly.

  1. Open a meal and tap Update Analysis.

  2. Type the total calories, protein, carbs, or fat.

  3. AteMate keeps the difference as one Your adjustment item. Your ingredients stay as they are, and the total always matches the sum of the items.

While you type, you'll see the split, for example "Ingredients: 36 kcal · Your adjustment: +44 kcal." Tap Reset to remove the adjustment.

A few details:

  • If you type calories, AteMate spreads them across protein, carbs, and fat, so calories always follow your macros.

  • If you edit ingredients later, the total updates and your adjustment stays the same.

  • Ingredient Analysis shows your adjustment as its own row.

Calories and macros are there to help you learn, never to set rules. You can hide them anytime in Settings → Smart Features & more.

We're continuing to improve meal editing, with more on the way.

Made for iPhone Duo and iPad

  • iPhone Duo: AteMate adapts as you fold, unfold, or rotate.

  • iPad and wider screens: Insights shows your cards in a grid. Profile shows your profile and menu side by side. Friends shows your chats beside the feed. Your Journal gets a wider column, and Coach, chats, and settings are easier to read.

  • Other iPhones: everything looks the same as before.

Bug fixes and performance improvements

Under-the-hood fixes for a smoother, more reliable experience.
